L'escalade des tensions entre les États-Unis et l'Iran a pesé sur la confiance des investisseurs, tandis que la hausse des prix du pétrole a exercé une nouvelle pression avant une semaine cruciale de résultats.

Les contrats à terme sur les actions américaines étaient mitigés tôt lundi, après que Wall Street a terminé la semaine dernière en territoire négatif. Les investisseurs restent concentrés sur l'aggravation du conflit au Moyen-Orient, qui a fait grimper les prix du pétrole et accru l'incertitude sur les marchés mondiaux.

Dans le même temps, les traders se préparent à une semaine chargée de résultats d'entreprises, menée par Alphabet, Tesla et Intel.

Les contrats à terme sur le S&P 500 ont gagné 0,2 %, tandis que ceux du Nasdaq-100 ont grimpé de 0,5 %. Les contrats à terme sur le Dow ont peu varié.

La semaine dernière, le S&P 500 a reculé de 1,6 %, le Nasdaq Composite a chuté de 2,9 % et le Dow Jones Industrial Average a perdu 0,9 %. Les fabricants de puces sont restés sous pression, l'ETF VanEck Semiconductor glissant de près de 9 % pour sa troisième baisse hebdomadaire en quatre semaines.

Le sentiment du marché s'est encore affaibli après que les États-Unis ont lancé une neuvième nuit consécutive de frappes militaires contre l'Iran. L'armée américaine a également confirmé la mort d'un autre militaire lors d'opérations récentes, ce qui fait craindre que le conflit ne continue de s'intensifier.

Les prix du pétrole ont réagi rapidement. Le brut américain West Texas Intermediate a augmenté de plus de 3 % pour dépasser les 85 dollars le baril, tandis que le brut Brent a grimpé au-dessus de 91 dollars.

Pendant ce temps, les investisseurs surveillent les résultats d'Alphabet et de Tesla mercredi, suivis de ceux d'Intel jeudi.

RÉACTION DU MARCHÉ

La hausse des prix du pétrole a soutenu les valeurs énergétiques, tandis que les actions des semi-conducteurs ont continué de s'essouffler. Les rendements du Trésor ont légèrement augmenté alors que les investisseurs surveillaient les développements géopolitiques. En Asie, les marchés ont évolué de manière mitigée, le Kospi de Corée du Sud ayant baissé tandis que le Hang Seng de Hong Kong a progressé.
