Le memecoin, lancé juste avant l'investiture de Trump en 2025, a brièvement atteint une valeur de marché d'environ 9 milliards de dollars. Aujourd'hui, il vaut moins de 400 millions de dollars, selon CoinMarketCap, les investisseurs ayant acheté au plus haut affichant une baisse d'environ 97 %.

Des recherches de la société d'analyse crypto Nansen, citées par The New York Times, estiment que près d'un million d'investisseurs ont perdu au total 3,8 milliards de dollars à la fin du mois de juin.

Bien que les législateurs se soient inquiétés d'un possible « soft rug pull », la société de renseignement blockchain TRM Labs a déclaré que le jeton ne présente pas les signes typiques d'un rug pull classique, tout en notant qu'un petit groupe de détenteurs initiaux en a bénéficié tandis que la plupart des acheteurs tardifs ont subi des pertes.
