La Cina sta riversando denaro e capacità produttiva nei robot umanoidi nel tentativo di guidare il prossimo grande settore tecnologico. Il problema è che le macchine fanno ancora fatica a svolgere compiti di base al di fuori di dimostrazioni attentamente controllate.

DETTAGLI CHIAVE

In un centro di addestramento a Liuzhou, più di 100 robot umanoidi stanno imparando compiti come lo smistamento di casse, il confezionamento di noodles e la preparazione del caffè. Un addestratore alle prime armi può ottenere un movimento utilizzabile dopo 300 tentativi, mentre un addestratore esperto può riuscirci in circa 50.

La Cina ha spedito circa 20.000 umanoidi a livello globale lo scorso anno, con i produttori cinesi che hanno rappresentato il 95%, secondo BofA Global Research. Il Paese prevede di costruire più di 100.000 unità quest'anno, mentre BofA prevede 1,2 milioni di spedizioni globali annuali entro il 2030.

Il sostegno del governo sta guidando gran parte del boom. I dati sugli appalti pubblici esaminati da Reuters hanno mostrato almeno 230 milioni di dollari di acquisti governativi durante la prima metà del 2026, in aumento rispetto ai 62 milioni di dollari dell'anno precedente.

REAZIONE DEL MERCATO

Gli investitori stanno già scontando un'enorme crescita futura. Il debutto di Unitree a Shanghai il 19 agosto ha visto le sue azioni salire di oltre cinque volte, valutando brevemente la società circa 50 miliardi di dollari, prima che il titolo ritracciasse.

Nel frattempo, i prezzi stanno scendendo. Morgan Stanley prevede che i prezzi medi degli umanoidi diminuiranno del 15% nel 2026.
