Gli Stati Uniti e l'Iran si preparano a presentare pubblicamente un accordo provvisorio volto a porre fine a mesi di conflitto in Medio Oriente. Secondo quanto riferito da funzionari statunitensi, l'accordo sarà firmato ufficialmente in Svizzera questo venerdì. L'intesa consente all'Iran di riprendere immediatamente le esportazioni di petrolio, mentre gli Stati Uniti revocheranno il blocco dei porti iraniani.

L'Iran ripristinerà inoltre il traffico marittimo attraverso lo Stretto di Hormuz, una delle rotte di trasporto energetico più importanti al mondo. Il presidente Donald Trump ha dichiarato che l'accordo garantisce che l'Iran non otterrà un'arma nucleare, anche se i negoziati dettagliati sul programma nucleare di Teheran continueranno nel corso dei prossimi 60 giorni.
