يتراجع مارك كوبان خطوة إلى الوراء عن البيتكوين. إذ أكد هذا الأسبوع المستثمر ونجم برنامج Shark Tank أنه باع معظم ما يملكه من عملة البيتكويت (BTC)، قائلاً إن هذا الأصل فشل في تحقيق ما كان يؤمن دائماً بأنه سيحققه.

ماذا حدث

  • في حديثه عبر بودكاست Portfolio Players يوم الخميس، قال كوبان إن البيتكوين "فقدت هويتها". وكانت أطروحته الأساسية بسيطة: وهي أن البيتكوين يجب أن تعمل كنسخة أفضل من الذهب، وتحوط موثوق عندما يضعف الدولار. لكن لم تسر الأمور على هذا النحو.

  • وقال كوبان: "لقد ارتفع الذهب فجأة ووصل إلى $5,000، وانخفضت عملة البيتكوين". "في كل مرة ينخفض فيها الدولار، كان ينبغي للبيتكوين أن ترتفع".

  • كما انتقد العملات الرقمية الساخرة (memecoins)، واصفاً إياها بأنها "قمامة" - وهو تحول ملحوظ لشخص كان ذات يوم أحد أقوى الداعمين لعملة دوجكوين (Dogecoin). بل إن فريق دالاس مافريكس، الذي يمتلك فيه كوبان حصة أقلية، قبل عملة DOGE كطريقة دفع لشراء التذاكر والسلع.

الأرقام تعكس قصة متباينة

على مدار العام الماضي، انخفضت عملة البيتكوين بنسبة 30% تقريباً، في حين ارتفع الذهب الفوري بنسبة تزيد عن 37%. ولكن منذ أن بدأت الحرب الإيرانية في أواخر فبراير/شباط، انعكست الصورة: حيث حققت البيتكوين مكاسب بنحو 17.8%، في حين تراجع الذهب بنحو 14.3%. الأسعار الحالية: البيتكوين عند ~77,608 دولاراً، والذهب عند ~4,523 دولاراً.

لماذا يجب على المتداولين الاهتمام

عندما يخرج كبار المستثمرين الكليين علناً من مركز استثماري، تتبعهم المعنويات السائدة في السوق. ويضيف تحول كوبان إلى الضغوط الحالية المفروضة على سردية عملة البيتكوين باعتبارها مخزناً للقيمة، لاسيما مع استمرار الذهب في جذب تدفقات الملاذ الآمن.

وسيكون الاختبار الحقيقي هو ما إذا كانت البيتكوين قادرة على استعادة مصداقيتها كأداة تحوط خلال الموجة التالية من تراجع الدولار. وحتى ذلك الحين، فإن الجدل الدائر بين الذهب والبيتكوين قد شهد لتوه دخولاً صاخباً جديداً.
