  • Spot-Gold fiel um 0,3 % auf $4.527,60 pro Unze (Stand 04:11 GMT), womit das Metall in dieser Woche um etwa 0,2 % im Minus liegt. Die Gold-Futures für Juni fielen um denselben Betrag auf $4.529,10.

  • Der Dollar hält sich in der Nähe eines Sechswochenhochs, was in Dollar denominiertes Gold für Käufer mit anderen Währungen teurer macht und naturgemäß die Nachfrage dämpft.

  • Die Ölpreise stiegen, nachdem US-Außenminister Marco Rubio auf anhaltende Reibungen bei den Gesprächen zwischen den USA und dem Iran hinwies, wobei die Uranbestände des Irans und die Kontrolle über die Straße von Hormus nach wie vor ungelöst sind. Höheres Öl treibt die Inflation an, und die Inflation hält die Erwartungen an Zinserhöhungen aufrecht.

  • Das FedWatch-Tool der CME Group beziffert die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer Zinserhöhung der Fed vor Jahresende nun auf 60 %. Unterdessen vereidigt Donald Trump am Freitag im Weißen Haus Kevin Warsh als neuen Fed-Vorsitzenden.

MARKTREAKTION

Silber gab um 0,2 % auf $76,53 nach, ist aber immer noch auf dem Weg zu einem wöchentlichen Plus von 0,8 %. Platin fiel um 0,5 % auf $1.955,66. Palladium sank um 0,2 % auf $1.375,35, wobei beide Edelmetalle vor wöchentlichen Verlusten stehen.
