Steigende Ölpreise und wachsende Erwartungen höherer US-Zinsen setzen Gold erneut unter Druck.

Gold setzte seinen Rückgang am Montag fort, nachdem erneute militärische Aktionen zwischen den Vereinigten Staaten und dem Iran die Ölpreise in die Höhe trieben, was Inflationssorgen schürte und die Nachfrage nach dem Edelmetall verringerte.

Kassagold gab um 0,6 % auf $4,062.89 pro Unze nach, während die US-Gold-Futures für die Lieferung im August um 0,5 % auf $4,077.50 fielen. Gold ist nun auf dem Weg zu einem vierten monatlichen Rückgang in Folge, was einem Minus von 10,4 % in diesem Zeitraum entspricht.

Die jüngsten Verluste folgten auf erneute Angriffe sowohl von Washington als auch von Teheran am Wochenende. Der Iran feuert Raketen und Drohnen auf US-Militärstützpunkte in Bahrain und Kuwait ab, nachdem Präsident Donald Trump vor schwerwiegenden Folgen gewarnt hatte, sollte der Iran ein Abkommen zur Beendigung des Konflikts nicht einhalten. Später berichtete Axios, dass sich beide Länder darauf geeinigt hätten, die Feindseligkeiten einzustellen und die Gespräche über die Straße von Hormus wieder aufzunehmen.

Analysten sagen, dass höhere Ölpreise die Inflation hoch halten könnten, was die Wahrscheinlichkeit weiterer Zinserhöhungen der Federal Reserve erhöht. Die Märkte preisen derzeit drei Fed-Zinserhöhungen in diesem Jahr ein, mit einer Wahrscheinlichkeit von rund 80 % für eine weitere Erhöhung im Dezember.

Investoren konzentrieren sich nun auf den US-ADP-Arbeitsmarktbericht und die Non-Farm Payrolls (Beschäftigtenzahlen außerhalb der Landwirtschaft) in dieser Woche, die die Erwartungen für die künftige Fed-Politik prägen könnten. Laut Tim Waterer, Analyst bei KCM Trade, könnte Gold im weiteren Verlauf dieses Jahres wieder die Marke von $5,000 erreichen, wenn die geopolitischen Spannungen nachlassen, der Ölpreis auf das Vorkriegsniveau zurückgeht und der US-Dollar schwächer wird.

Marktreaktion

Die Ölpreise kletterten, Gold schwächte sich ab, Silber fiel um 1,2 % auf $58.47, während Platin um 0,2 % zulegte und Palladium um 0,4 % stieg.
