Die globalen Märkte begannen die Woche in angespannter Stimmung, nachdem Iran und die Vereinigten Staaten Angriffe im Golf ausgetauscht hatten. Teheran behauptete zudem, es habe die Straße von Hormus, eine der weltweit wichtigsten Routen für den Öltransport, gesperrt.

Präsident Donald Trump erklärte, der Seeweg bleibe für den Handelsverkehr geöffnet, während US-Behörden berichteten, dass in den vergangenen 24 Stunden 20 Schiffe durch die Meerenge eskortiert worden seien. Dennoch scheint sich die Schifffahrtsaktivität drastisch zu verlangsamen.

Wichtige Details

Die UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) teilte mit, dass die Schiffspassagen bis Freitag bereits auf 10 gesunken waren. Daten zur Schiffsverfolgung zeigten zudem, dass am Montag keine Schiffe den engsten Teil der Meerenge passierten – zumindest keine mit aktiven Transpondern.

Die Bedrohung für die Energieversorgung ließ die Preise für Brent und US-Rohöl um fast 4 % steigen. Die europäischen Aktien-Futures fielen um rund 0,6 %, während der japanische Nikkei die Verluste an den asiatischen Märkten anführte.

Die Nasdaq-Futures gaben ebenfalls um 0,6 % nach, da sich die Anleger auf eine arbeitsreiche Berichtswoche vorbereiteten, in der unter anderem Großbanken, Netflix und General Electric im Fokus stehen.

Die Bank of America warnte, dass der Boom bei den KI-Ausgaben die Cash-Generierung beeinträchtigt. Hyperscaler haben in diesem Jahr bereits 234 Milliarden Dollar ausgegeben, und der zukünftige freie Cashflow wird voraussichtlich zum ersten Mal seit mindestens 2007 negativ ausfallen.

Marktreaktion

Der US-Dollar legte auf breiter Front zu, und die Renditen von US-Staatsanleihen stiegen leicht an. Der Dollar kletterte auf 162,05 Yen, während das britische Pfund im Vorfeld einer wichtigen politischen Woche in Großbritannien auf 1,3381 Dollar nachgab.
