Mercado global de petróleo se torna baixista com o forte retorno da oferta do Golfo

O aumento dos fluxos de petróleo bruto pelo Estreito de Ormuz e as expectativas de maior oferta regional estão pressionando os preços do petróleo para baixo.

Os preços do petróleo ampliaram sua queda na quinta-feira, caindo para níveis vistos pela última vez antes do início da guerra no Irã. O petróleo Brent para entrega em agosto caiu US$ 1,08, ou 1,46%, para US$ 72,66 o barril. O West Texas Intermediate (WTI) dos EUA caiu 84 centavos, ou 1,19%, para US$ 69,50 o barril. Ambos os benchmarks atingiram seus níveis mais baixos desde 27 de fevereiro.

O secretário de Energia dos EUA, Chris Wright, disse que os fluxos de petróleo através do Estreito de Ormuz estão se aproximando dos níveis anteriores à guerra, com pelo menos 20 milhões de barris passando pela passagem nas últimas 24 horas. Ele observou que a normalização total pode levar várias semanas enquanto as operações de remoção de minas continuam.

Analistas dizem que os embarques de saída do Golfo se recuperaram mais rapidamente do que o tráfego de entrada, já que seguradoras e empresas de transporte marítimo ainda buscam garantias de segurança mais fortes.

A pressão adicional veio das expectativas de que o Irã possa aumentar as vendas de petróleo após o alívio temporário das sanções dos EUA. No entanto, o Goldman Sachs disse que não espera um grande aumento na produção iraniana, mesmo que o alívio das sanções se estenda além de 21 de agosto.
