Ataques do Irã, Alta do Petróleo, Queda do Ouro - Tudo em um Único Fim de Semana

A alta dos preços do petróleo e as crescentes expectativas de taxas de juros mais elevadas nos EUA exercem nova pressão sobre o ouro.

O ouro ampliou sua queda nesta segunda-feira, depois que uma nova ação militar entre os Estados Unidos e o Irã impulsionou os preços do petróleo, aumentando as preocupações com a inflação e reduzindo a demanda pelo metal precioso.

O ouro à vista recuou 0,6%, para $4.062,89 por onça, enquanto os contratos futuros de ouro dos EUA para entrega em agosto caíram 0,5%, para $4.077,50. O ouro agora caminha para a quarta queda mensal consecutiva, acumulando desvalorização de 10,4% no período.

As perdas mais recentes ocorreram após novos ataques de Washington e Teerã no fim de semana. O Irã lançou mísseis e drones contra bases militares dos EUA no Bahrein e no Kuwait, depois que o presidente Donald Trump alertou sobre graves consequências se o Irã não honrasse um acordo para encerrar o conflito. Posteriormente, o Axios informou que ambos os países concordaram em pausar as hostilidades e retomar as negociações sobre o Estreito de Ormuz.

Analistas afirmam que a alta dos preços do petróleo pode manter a inflação elevada, aumentando a probabilidade de novas altas de juros pelo Federal Reserve. Os mercados estão atualmente precificando três altas de juros do Fed este ano, com cerca de 80% de chance de outro aumento em dezembro.

Os investidores agora estão focados no relatório de empregos ADP e nos dados de folha de pagamento não agrícola (nonfarm payrolls) dos EUA desta semana, que podem moldar as expectativas para a futura política do Fed. De acordo com o analista da KCM Trade, Tim Waterer, o ouro pode retornar ao patamar de $5.000 ainda este ano se as tensões geopolíticas diminuírem, o petróleo recuar para os níveis anteriores à guerra e o dólar americano se enfraquecer.
