Trump disse que os EUA não pretendem estender um acordo provisório alcançado com o Irã em junho. O memorando pedia o fim imediato e permanente das operações militares e dava a ambos os lados até 60 dias para negociar um acordo final.

Trump também disse à Fox News que o Irã "deveria hastear a bandeira branca da rendição". Mais cedo, ele repetiu no Truth Social que impedir o Irã de obter uma arma nuclear continua sendo seu "Objetivo número um".
